Company Review

Trend Analysis

DAISY COMMUNICATIONS LTD. demonstrates a consistent payment trend, with an average payment time of 41 days. A significant majority of payments (68%) are made within the 31-60 day window, indicating a predictable payment speed just beyond standard 30-day terms. While 26% of payments are completed within 30 days, the dominant trajectory points towards a slightly extended but generally stable payment cycle.

Volatility Analysis

While most payments are somewhat predictable within the 31-60 day range, the company exhibits a moderate level of payment volatility and risk. A 15% late payment rate and 6% of payments extending beyond 60 days introduce potential cash flow uncertainty for suppliers. This indicates that while the majority of invoices are handled within a defined period, there is a non-negligible risk of significant payment delays.

Summary Analysis

DAISY COMMUNICATIONS LTD. represents a moderate credit risk, characterized by an average 41-day payment cycle but with a 15% late payment incidence. Suppliers should anticipate payments typically falling in the 31-60 day bracket and factor in potential for slight delays and extended payment terms when setting credit limits. To mitigate risk, consider establishing clear payment schedules with potential late penalties or requesting partial upfront payments for larger orders.

Payment Terms

Standard payment terms

The Company’s standard contractual payment terms for all qualifying contracts are 60 days after end of month in which invoice dated, however, specific terms can be negotiated and agreed with a supplier. The agreed payment terms are reflected in our contractual documentation and accounting system. There were no changes to standard payment terms in the reporting period.

Were there any changes to the standard payment terms in the reporting period?

Any other information about payment terms

Invoices not paid to agreed terms £8,587,154 and percentage 9% taking account of payments paid on the next payment run following due date, which is a maximum of 15 days on a bi-monthly payment cycle. Although the standard payment terms are 60 days end of month, the proportion of terms based on invoice date was significant in the period, meaning it is impractical to strictly meet payment terms given the frequency of payments this would require. There are number of other reasons why remaining payments could be delayed including for example suppliers sending invoices late, internal approvals, suppliers quoting invalid purchase order numbers, and disputes.

Dispute Resolution Process

Supplier invoices are processed and passed to business approvers who can approve or reject an invoice. In the event of a dispute, it is logged with the supplier via email or on their portal wherever applicable. The supplier and the relevant Daisy authorised person work towards dispute resolution. If the dispute is ruled in favour of Daisy, a credit note may be issued by the supplier. In case the dispute remains unresolved within a reasonable period, the supplier can contact the relevant Daisy business contact or a member of the Group Procurement team.
