Company Review

Trend Analysis

PLESSEY SEMICONDUCTORS LIMITED maintains an average payment time of 30 days, with 69% of invoices settled within this period. However, a notable 30% are paid between 31 and 60 days, indicating a consistent trend of payments extending slightly beyond immediate terms for a significant portion of transactions.

Volatility Analysis

The 30% of payments extending to 31-60 days introduces a degree of unpredictability for a supplier's cash flow, despite the low 1% exceeding 60 days. This indicates that while outright long delays are rare, consistent adherence to initial payment terms for all invoices is not fully reliable, as 25% are categorized as late.

Summary Analysis

PLESSEY SEMICONDUCTORS LIMITED generally pays within a reasonable timeframe, but suppliers should anticipate up to 30% of invoices potentially extending beyond 30 days. Consider negotiating clear payment terms with potential penalties for delays, or adjusting internal cash flow projections to accommodate this payment pattern.

Any disputes should be raised with accounts payable in the first instance, at accounts_pl@plesseysemi.com, where the AP team will work with the supplier to reach an amicable solution. The accounts payable inbox is monitored daily and the team aims to respond the same day but the maximum will be 3 days. If required, accounts payable will liaise internally with the purchaser and the purchasing/stores department. If the dispute cannot be resolved in this first stage then it will be escalated to senior finance and then finally to the management team, if required.
