The Travel and Transportation sector is showing impressive payment discipline, massively exceeding the UK average. However, the wide gap between the best and worst performers suggests significant internal disparity.
The East of England tops the regional table with a 91.2 average, based on a sample of eight companies; the "Unknown" region, with just one company, is a close second at 91.1, so it is difficult to derive meaning from this region. Wales, with one company also shows a strong score of 86.7, so suppliers may wish to target these areas.

While the sector punches above its weight with a 73.4 average, suppliers should still be aware of the laggards dragging down the overall score.
The Travel and Transportation sector saw a modest uplift in payment performance, with the average score improving by 0.7 points to 73.4/100, despite a notable reduction in companies tracked from 91 to 67. The story is one of significant swings, best exemplified by TUI UK LIMITED, which rocketed by an impressive 46.2 points to a strong 93.5/100, indicating a dramatic shift in their payment practices. Conversely, other parts of the TUI empire didn't fare as well, with TUI AIRWAYS LIMITED seeing its score drop by 5.5 points to 84.2/100. On the downside, CROSSROADS TRUCK BUS LIMITED faced a substantial decline of 8.6 points, settling at a concerning 51.4/100, highlighting challenges within parts of the vehicle support sector. The inclusion of new entrants like LOTHIAN BUSES LIMITED at 87.3/100 also signals evolving dynamics. Suppliers should remain vigilant regarding specific company performance, rather than relying on the sector's marginal overall improvement.
