Company Review

Trend Analysis

BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION demonstrates a strong trend of prompt payments, with an average payment time of 24 days. A significant majority of invoices, 84%, are settled within 30 days, indicating consistent and efficient payment processing. While a small segment extends beyond 30 days, the overall trajectory points towards reliable and quick settlements.

Volatility Analysis

Payment reliability is high, with 84% of invoices consistently settled within a standard 30-day window, making payment patterns largely predictable. A smaller portion of payments, 16%, extends beyond 30 days, with 6% taking over 60 days, introducing a minor element of variability for those specific transactions. Despite this, the explicit 'Late: 0%' data suggests no outstanding formal late payment issues or penalties, indicating low overall payment risk.

Summary Analysis

BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION is a highly favorable payment partner due to its strong record of prompt settlements, with an average of 24 days and 84% paid within 30 days. Suppliers can confidently expect timely payments, which is a key decision factor for maintaining healthy cash flow. While a small percentage may experience extended terms, the stated 'Late: 0%' indicates minimal financial risk, requiring no specific mitigation strategies beyond standard credit checks.

Payment Terms

Standard payment terms

The BHF's standard supplier terms and conditions require the BHF to pay undisputed invoices within 30 days of the invoice date. Suppliers should only invoice the BHF when the goods or services procured have been delivered to the BHF. The BHF offers favourable payment terms for our logistics fleet service providers with invoices paid within 18 days of the invoice date. The BHF’s standard terms and conditions do not permit suppliers to use supply chain financing to factor invoices without the BHF’s written permission. Many of our suppliers do factor their invoices with our express written agreement. Full terms and conditions can be viewed on our website at https://www.bhf.org.uk/what-we-do/our-policies/supplier-terms-and-conditions

Dispute Resolution Process

When the BHF receives products or services from a supplier which are not at the required standard the BHFs key contact with the supplier will advise the supplier within 5 working days and will work with the supplier to agree any possible resolution to the dispute. The key contact is normally the BHF employee who delivered the approved purchase order to the supplier. When a supplier invoice is received that does not include a valid purchase order number, or where the BHF has not recorded the receipt of the goods, or where there are issues with the invoice format or VAT charges, our accounts payable team will contact the supplier within 5 working days of the receipt of the invoice to clarify and/or resolve. The BHF’s accounts payable team can be contacted at APqueries@bhf.org.uk.
