Trend Analysis
O'HALLORAN & O'BRIEN LIMITED exhibits a strong positive trend for payment speed, with an average payment time of 24 days. A substantial 72% of invoices are settled within 30 days, demonstrating consistent adherence to common short payment terms.
Volatility Analysis
Despite the overall promptness, 28% of payments are late, including 24% falling into the 31-60 day bracket and 4% exceeding 60 days. This introduces a moderate level of payment unpredictability for a portion of transactions, indicating a risk of extended payment cycles beyond standard terms.
Summary Analysis
Overall, O'HALLORAN & O'BRIEN LIMITED can be considered a generally reliable payer, with most invoices settled quickly. Suppliers should account for the 28% late payment rate, especially the 4% over 60 days, by potentially offering slightly longer terms or maintaining adequate working capital. Implementing robust follow-up procedures for invoices approaching 30 days overdue could also serve as a prudent risk mitigation strategy.

Dispute Resolution Process
O’Halloran and O’Brien seek to avoid disputes by communicating directly with the supplier or subcontractor. Suppliers - the first point of call for all invoice related questions is the purchase ledger team who will be able to advise on the status of the invoice. If the invoice has not been approved and is being held in query, the purchase ledger team will acknowledge this with the supplier and direct them to the correct person to resolve the query. Subcontractors – all queries must first be raised with the commercial staff reasonable for engaging the work. Approved applications will be passed to the payment team for processing. If the dispute cannot be resolved, it is then escalated to a senior team member at Director level.
