Disputes are initially managed through discussions between the supplier and the Accounts Payable Assistant. Phonographic Performance Limited, trading as PPL, is the UK music licensing organisation representing over 150,000 performer and recording rightsholder members. It licenses recorded music for use by radio stations, TV channels, online services, workplaces and venues, and collects the resulting royalties. It also collects royalties owed internationally through agreements with over 110 collective management organisations worldwide, and distributes royalties to members after deducting operating costs, retaining no profit itself. PPL maintains a repertoire database of over 28 million sound recordings and runs data exchange services used by record companies and collecting societies globally.
